It's held on with plastic clips which are very difficult to remove, and even more difficult to get back together. The most difficult/complicated part was removing the plastic shielding under the front of the vehicle. From beginning to end it took about 2 1/2 hours. Not the simplest to do, not terribly difficult either. Difficulty-wise, I'd rate it as an "intermediate" task. I own a 2012 EX-L and I recently installed the Vanguard Bull Bar. I have't seen a thread talking about them. ![]() I'd like to protect the truck while not making it look too military. I guess I'm looking for ideas and suggestions. Others look pretty good (nice chrome) and aren't too over the top. I've seen some that are very aggressive looking almost like you're going into the forrest. I know nothing about them other than I think I need them to ward off society. I've seen several Pilots with front and rear either Bull Bars, Grille Guards or Push Bars (or whatever else they might be called). The Pilot is the first truck I've ever owned so I'll admit to being a newbie in some areas. We came very close to having a "situation" but the driver was surprisingly apologetic and swore he didn't hit the truck (he didn't we checked). I'm in New York City a lot and for those who haven't visited it's a jungle ALL THE TIME! On day four of owning my truck I was parked in NY and a tractor trailer was as close to my Pilot as a vehicle could be without hitting it. ![]() ![]() The gas mileage may put me in the poor house but I'll save that for another thread. I'm a little over two weeks into owning my first truck.
